March 12 and 26, April 9, May 3, June 7, July 5 and August 2

Featuring commentary by historian James Ponce on the history of the famous shopping destination, as well as the unique architecture and historical significance of many of its legendary landmarks, the tours will be held on select Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the year.  Proclaimed as Palm Beach's only "Two Legged Historical Landmark" by the Palm Beach Town Council in 1996, Ponce was born in St. Augustine and can trace his early Spanish ancestry in Florida back to 1594.  More than 49 years ago, Ponce began his Palm Beach career at The Breakers.  In addition, he has been affiliated with the Colony and the Brazilian Court hotels in Palm Beach.  Historical Walking Tours of Wonderful Worth Avenue will include visits to Via Parigi and Via Mizner.

Recognized as one of the world’s most prestigious shopping destinations, Worth Avenue is famous for its international collection of designer fashions, jewelry, furniture, restaurants, art, gift boutiques and spa salons.  An architectural treasure, the Avenue boasts more than 200 boutiques, some of which have been serving customers since 1925.   Tours will begin at 11 a.m. in the Gucci Courtyard and last approximately one hour. The complimentary tours are offered as a public service.  No advance reservation is required.
